Employee health takes center stage at the Home of Packaging during Mental Health Week

As the Home of Packaging, we have a corporate culture that puts mental health first. Under the motto “Hand in hand for mental health in the workplace,” the “Mental Health Action Alliance” aims to raise awareness of mental health issues in the workplace from October 10 to 20. To mark Mental Health Week, we are putting the mental and physical well-being of our employees and a pleasant working atmosphere at our Home of Packaging in the spotlight.

For example, we use our intranet to support each other with tips on mindfulness and self-care. Our gym offers the perfect opportunity to bring body and mind into harmony. Through joint mindfulness exercises, open discussions, and our office dog Balou, we create a place where we feel comfortable and can grow together. As a team, we are convinced that a healthy mind is the basis for our shared success.

“To further support the health of our employees, we provide vitamin-rich snacks in our communal kitchen and encourage cooking together during lunch breaks. Physical fitness and a balanced diet are just as important for mental well-being as team spirit,” says Managing Director Thomas Stumpp, adding:

“As owner and managing director, I am aware that our employees are the most important building block for the success of Home of Packaging. We firmly believe that a strong team that can live out its individual strengths achieves the best results. Inspired by the Spiegel bestseller 'Big 5 for Life,' we create an environment in which everyone can balance their personal goals with their work. Only in this way can we realize our visions together. That's why we think Mental Health Week is an excellent opportunity to focus on mental health in the workplace.

About Mental Health Week

The international “World Mental Health Day” has been held on October 10 every year since 1992. It was initiated by the World Federation for Mental Health (WFMH). Since 2010, the “Aktionsbündnis Seelische Gesundheit” (Mental Health Action Alliance) has been calling for a “National Mental Health Week” throughout Germany around October 10. The patron of the 2024 National Mental Health Week is Prof. Dr. Karl Lauterbach, Federal Minister of Health. Further information is available at www.seelischegesundheit.net
