The company's history began in 2008 with the founding of tbs-pack GmbH in the beautiful Sauerland region, which has established itself throughout Europe as an owner-managed company in the fields of technical film packaging and packaging machines. With over 40 years of experience in film, we manufacture our own brand Castelli-Film® (high-quality packaging and shrink films) at our global production sites.
tbs-pack GmbH is complemented by our second own brand Nero-Pack® packaging machines (end-of-line packaging machines through to logistics packaging machines).
These are designed and produced within our own group of companies. This enables us to implement individual requirements directly.
Thanks to our merger with the Alpha-Pack Group, a unique association of owner-managed manufacturers worldwide, you receive comprehensive packaging solutions from a single source. With alpha-automatic GmbH, we have our own German headquarters and are able to offer complete system solutions for a comprehensive packaging process.
This enables the Home of Packaging to fully cover the three central elements of the packaging cycle: sales packaging, protective packaging, and logistics packaging—a service that is unique in the packaging industry!

Our new building in the Erftstadt business park was constructed in 2019 using modern, sustainable construction methods in accordance with the latest EnEV standards. Thanks to the installed photovoltaic system, we are able to cover 100% of our own electricity needs and feed any surplus electricity back into the grid in a cost-effective and environmentally friendly manner.
Our employees and business partners can look forward to open and light-filled offices, meeting rooms, and storage areas, as well as state-of-the-art media technology. In addition, we are well positioned for the future with a fiber optic network connection of up to 2GBit/min.
As part of our company health promotion program, our employees also have access to an in-house fitness studio free of charge. The office workstations are also state-of-the-art and provide our employees with a pleasant working environment thanks to height-adjustable desks, dual monitors, and Voice over IP telephony.
